Goodenough-Harris Drawing Test |
| Overview: Assess mental maturity nonverbally Age Range: Administration: |
|
Based on extensive research, the Goodenough-Harris Drawing Test is essential for the nonverbal assessment of mental maturity. The test includes Harris' restandardisation of the Goodenough Draw-a-Man Test, a standardisation of a similar Draw-a-Woman Scale, and an experimental Self-Drawing Scale.
Each child completes a drawing of a person, which is scored against 73 characteristics specified in the manual. Alternatively, drawings can be compared with 12 ranked drawings (quality scale cards) for each of the 2 scales (Man & Woman). The results provide a nonverbal measure of intellectual ability.
