Stromberg Dexterity Test |
| Overview: To measure manipulative skills, such as the speed and accuracy of arm and hand movement Administration: |
|
The Stromberg Dexterity Test measures arm and hand co-ordination.
The candidate must discriminate among and sort 54 discs and insert them into the form board as quickly as possible. Placement precision is a prerequisite for speed. After two practice trials, the candidates complete two more trials, which take only 5 to 10 minutes to complete and score. The raw score is the total number of minutes and seconds required to complete the last two trials.
The Stromberg Dexterity Test is effective in selection for a range of jobs requiring speed and accuracy in co-ordination of arm and hand movements, it has also proved invaluable in the assessment of people in sheltered workshops and evaluation for training programmes.
